Emily Anderson is a graduate from Miami University and the Art Academy of Cincinnati. She is certified to teach art grades K-12. Mrs. Anderson formally taught visual art in the Norwood City School district where she spent eights years in the elementary and 2 years at the high school. This is her second year at Mariemont Junior High School teaching Digital Art.

College Conservatory of Music Experience: As a vocalist, she has performed all around the city with groups like The Cincinnati Ballet, The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and The Cincinnati Pops at places like Music Hall, The Aronoff Center, and Riverbend Music Center. Additionally, she's an instrumentalist and loves to teach and play all of the wind, string, and percussion instruments. But, her favorites are the ukulele and the clarinet. Miss Hobson teaches elementary general music class, conducts the 5th and 6th Grade Chorus, directs the sixth grade musical, and teaches dance, theatre, and American Sign Language as part of our Warriors Beyond program.

Shelley Komrska

Shelley Komrska is a visual arts teacher at Mariemont Elementary School and Mariemont Junior High School. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, and a master's degree from Miami University. She is the author of Know it by Art: Ohio, a curriculum guide which teaches the history and culture of our region through lessons on art, artifacts and architecture. She was named Outstanding Art Teacher for the southwest region of the Ohio Art Education Association, and has led professional development courses for the OAEA, as well as the Mayerson Academy (CPS) and several area universities. She enjoys bringing creativity to life in the classroom with her students.

Mrs. McGahey loves teaching choir in grades 5 -12 at all four of the Mariemont schools. She is beginning her 13th year in the district and also directs Showstoppers, our high school pop a cappella group, as well as the high school musical in the spring. I addition to teaching choir every day she loves to cook and design and play with her 3 beautiful children. Mrs. McGahey loves sharing her love of music with kids everyday. Ashley Scribner
Teacher, Art
Ashley Scribner started working at Mariemont High School in 2018. She holds a BFA from Xavier University, a minor in professions education, as well as a MEd from Xavier in Montessori Education. She taught in the Milford school district for 13 years, as well as private lessons in NYC.
Ashley is also very dedicated to her personal artwork where she has shown work in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and around Cincinnati. She continues to pursue this currently selling photography in local shows. She and her husband also wrote and illustrated a children’s book “Findlay: A Cincinnati Pig Tale”.
