Alumni Spotlight - Leah Hamlin Mostoufi

Leah Hamlin Mostoufi, Class of 2009

After graduating from Mariemont, I went to Yale University, where I studied political science. From there, I went to law school at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. I went on to clerk for the United States District Court, Central District of California, and then joined a boutique litigation firm in Orange County. After a few years in private practice, I moved to San Francisco for my second clerkship, this time for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Presently, I am in Washington, D.C., where I am an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. I am married (husband, Jon Mostoufi), and we have four rescue pets: two cats, a German Shepherd, and a pitbull.

I feel so fortunate to have attended Mariemont schools. At every stage of my education, I received a top-quality education from excellent instructors. I also had access to, and participated in, an incredibly diverse array of extracurricular and leadership opportunities. Finally, I always knew I had the support of the entire community behind me. There is no doubt that the Mariemont experience is as unique as it is formative in preparing students for success, whatever they choose to pursue.
