Mariemont City Schools celebrated its annual Academic Excellence Month at the October Board of Education meeting on Monday, October 9, 2023. This annual tradition is meant to recognize the academic excellence of the students and staff of Mariemont City Schools, both in and out of the classroom.
Superintendent Steven Estepp shared the following statistics and data from the 2023 Ohio State Test results:
- MCSD ranked first in Hamilton County, first in the region and seventh in the state for overall academic achievement.
- All four MCSD school buildings ranked in the Top 10 of the region and the top 2% of the state (out of 3,203 schools) for overall academic achievement.
- MCSD ranked in the top 10% of the state for year over year student improvement.
- MCSD ranked first in the region for gifted opportunities and performance.
- MCSD ranked first in the region and fifth in the state for early literacy achievement.
- Mariemont Elementary School and Terrace Park Elementary School both ranked in the top 3% for overall academic achievement amongst all Ohio elementary schools.
- Mariemont Junior High School ranked as the top middle school/junior high in the region for overall academic achievement.
- Mariemont High School ranked #2 in the region for overall academic achievement.
