Tonight (Wednesday) is Parent Open House starting at 7:00. Parents will meet in the gym for a general meeting before following their student’s schedule for the evening. Today during science class students will copy their schedule for parents to bring to Open House.
Golf
Last night the Mariemont girls golf team beat Taylor by 10 strokes. The low medalist was Shay Quinn with a 36, tied for second was Sawyer Stickley with a 41. Their next match is on Friday at Reeves against Madeira and Nagel. Go Warriors!
Congratulations to the boys golf team in their match yesterday against Madeira. Grady Hurt was the medalist shooting an outstanding one-over par 28. The other Mariemont players’ scores were: Owen Sleeper (34), Connor McCoy (37), Rex Werner (40), Ezra Larsen (45), Jay Vaughn (45), Zachary Deters (47), Austin Hobek (51), and Porter Cartwright (53). Congratulations!
eSports
Do you like to play Super Smash Bros, Rocket League or Mario Kart? If so, please attend the eSports registration meeting at the high school today and tomorrow. Please ride the activity bus to the high school and wait patiently in the Hub until high school students are dismissed. Mr. Eten will provide help with the registration process and you can play eSports with other students until 4:45. Let your parent or guardian know to pick you up from the high school at 4:45.
The annual Warrior Run will take place on September 28 at 5:15 p.m. (1 Mile) and 5:30 p.m. (5K) at Dogwood Park in Mariemont (both courses start and finish here). Please consider joining our team and/or volunteering (even if you don't participate in the run, just registering helps raise money for our district).
The run includes a 5K Run/Walk, 1 Mile Walk, Kids’ Fun Run, great food, music, and carnival-style kids games. You can even participate virtually if you prefer.
Please consider joining our team, making a donation, or both! The money raised goes directly to supporting our mental health programs in the Mariemont City School District. Sources of Strength, Signs of Suicide, MindPeace Rooms have all been supported through our Warrior run funds.
