“Coach Joe” begins his fifth year of teaching 8th grade US History at Mariemont Junior High as well as serving as the varsity baseball coach.  Regruth has previously taught at Mariemont High School and Taylor High School in addition to nearly 20 years as a college and high school baseball coach.  He has had coaching stints at Mount St Joseph, where he was hired to initiate and develop the program, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati on the collegiate level and Turpin, St Xavier and Sycamore on the high school level.  His summer coaching experience includes many years in the Midland organization, two years as the manager of the collegiate-aged Cincinnati Steam and three years as a member of the Cincinnati Baseball Club.

Mr Regruth is a graduate of Turpin High School and the International School of Brussels (Brussels, Belgium).  After graduation, he attended Tulane University (New Orleans, LA) before graduating from Xavier University with a BS in Education and a Master of Education.

Coach Joe, his wife Deanna, daughter Jackie and son Trey live in Blue Ash and are excited to be at Mariemont.
