Congratulations to both 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams who defeated Taylor yesterday. 7th grade won 24-21; 8th grade won with a score of 40-31.
The 8th Grade Open House at the high school is tonight from 6:00pm - 7:20 pm at Mariemont High School. It will be a casual event where you'll get to interact with teachers to learn more about the high school course offerings. You can choose which academic areas to visit and what time to arrive. Students should attend this event along with a parent/guardian present. Also, there will be a presentation on important scheduling information for the 2025-2026 school year during this time as well. The hope is that the Open House will prepare students with the information needed to make informed decisions about their freshman schedule.
There will be a football meeting for any 8th grade student wanting to play high school football on Tuesday, January 28th immediately after school with both the player and parent in the Commons. The meeting will start at 3:05 and will be approximately a half hour.
Coach Maddie will meet with students interested in joining the Jr. High track team during lunch on Wednesday, January 29. Bring your lunch to the Media Center next Wednesday.

Stock Club
We are pleased to announce the 7th annual MJHS Stock Market Game (SMG), led by Jeremy Gates, a certified financial planner with Fifth Third Securities. Mr. Gates is a Kiwanis member, and has been in the investment industry for 20 years. This two month challenge involves students working in teams researching and trading stocks through the stockmarketgame.org and the University of Cincinnati. Each team begins with $100,000 (virtual dollars) to build their portfolio. SMG meetings will take place on Tuesdays during 7th and 8th grade lunch periods. Sign-ups will take place today through Friday, January 24 in Social Studies classes. The first meeting will be Tuesday, February 4th.
