Hello Mariemont City Schools Community!

 

With Thanksgiving in just a few short days, I wanted to take the opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for all of the students, staff and community members I get to interact with daily. This has been an incredibly challenging couple of years for all of us, but I am blessed to live and work in a community of people who care and support each other the way we do.

 

Customarily, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all that we have in our lives and give thanks to those closest to us. I hope that you all get a chance to do this with those you love this week.

 

Personally, I am grateful for the strong and committed staff we have in Mariemont City Schools. I have passed through a lot of classrooms this school year and I have witnessed so much creativity, innovation and thoughtfulness in the lessons. But I have also seen so much love, kindness and happiness spread to all of our community’s children. Our district is better because of each and every one of our talented and dedicated staff members.

 

I also am thankful to our community who has stood behind us, supporting us through a hectic past 18 months because of the pandemic. But I fully believe that it is because of you and your belief in us that we were prepared to navigate so many of the challenges. Your support has pushed us and allowed us to continue providing an excellent education to our students, so thank you!

 

And I am incredibly grateful for all of our students, from our new and eager kindergarteners to our seniors who are preparing to leave us and soon make a difference in the world. We wouldn’t be such a successful district if it weren’t for your willingness to learn new things and grow every day. Thank you!

 

I am inspired just writing this blog and thinking about all of the incredible people surrounding Mariemont City Schools. I am excited to see what we can achieve together after Thanksgiving and BEyond.
