Mariemont City Schools Mourns Loss of High School Student

Evan Barnes 2002-2020

On Friday, April 3, 2020, Mariemont City Schools learned of the passing of Mariemont High School junior Evan Barnes. The district sends sincere condolences and thoughts to Evan’s family and loved ones.

“Evan was a kind and considerate young man who was a friend to many at the high school” said Mariemont High School principal Dr. Jim Renner. “Our hearts go out to Evan’s family and to all of his friends, teachers, and classmates at this tremendously difficult time.”

“It is a tremendously sad day for Mariemont City Schools” said superintendent Steven Estepp. “My heart goes out to Evan’s family and friends as they cope with this tragic loss. I know that our students and staff will lean on each other in this difficult time as they fondly remember their classmate.”
