The district provides staff with global & cultural perspectives and professional development.
The purpose and content of this professional development is (1) to help staff understand the perspectives that exist in our own community; (2) practice skills and strategies to professionally handle difficult topics/situations that students may bring into a classroom; (3) ensure all students feel safe and included.
Staff professional development has never taught that any particular set of beliefs, ideologies or opinions about global, societal and/or cultural issues is correct and needs to be taught.
